Visiting DIII-D as a Citizen of a Sensitive Country

Visitors from Sensitive Countries

People who are not U.S. citizens require specific approval from the United States Department of Energy (DOE) to visit U.S. DOE facilities. Furthermore, the U.S. DOE maintains a list of sensitive countries whose citizens require further checks prior to physically accessing the DIII-D National Fusion Facility. In order to comply with U.S. DOE policy, DIII-D requires an extended lead time to arrange visits to the facility by any person who is a citizen of a sensitive country. Please note that while the list of sensitive countries is provided below, this list is subject to change without notice.
