Research Products
Research Products are communications that convey DIII-D research results or scientific contributions. They include journal publications, DOE Office of Science Highlights, press releases, conference abstracts, conference papers, whitepapers, and any other output that would result in the dissemination of DIII-D results outside of the program.
The creation and dissemination of research products are incredibly important to the functioning of the program. DIII‑D takes pride in producing high-quality research products that produce meaningful impacts on the advancement of fusion science and technology and the development of fusion energy.
Review Process for Research Products 🔒
This document provides DIII-D Users with the necessary information to process research products through the facility’s review process.
The DOE Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) collects, preserves, and disseminates Scientific and Technical Information (STI) for DOE-funded research and development (R&D) activities at DOE national laboratories and facilities and at universities and other institutions.
OSTI is the primary search tool for DOE-funded science, technology, and engineering R&D results.
OSTI is also used for submitting scientific and technical information (STI) products, including accepted journal article manuscripts, technical reports, conference proceedings, etc. OSTI (via E-Link) facilitates the electronic submittal of STI to DOE to comply with DOE reporting requirements. For DIII-D, this process is completed as part of the internal review process.
